November 2025 was a banner month for Solomon Islands tourism in the United States with the national tourist board and Solomon Airlines hosting top travel professionals at a Los Angeles function before going on to represent the Solomon Islands at the world’s largest annual event for diving, travel, and action water sports professionals, DEMA (Diving Equipment & Marketing Association) in Orlando, Florida.
The Los Angeles visit gave the team, Head of Sales & Marketing, Fiona Teama, Marketing Officer, Eldona Lokay, North America Public Relations Counsel, Susan Bejeckian and Solomon Airlines’’ representative, AirlinePros USA Sales Manager Sascha Henckell, the perfect opportunity to meet with and present the latest developments on the Solomon Islands tourism and aviation scene to a group of close on 30 of California’s top travels specialists at the prestigious Proud Bird Restaurant.

The team’s next stop was DEMA, this year taking place in Orlando , Florida, where they joined other South Pacific nations, including Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, Tonga, Vanuatu, along with Fiji Airways, and South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) at the event’s South Pacific Pavilion.

An estimated 100 dive specialists media and travel wholesalers visit the Pavilion across the four-day event which annually attracts more than 5000 visitors.
