Our working holiday in the Solomon Islands

Our working holiday in the Solomon Islands– aka the Hapi Islands– is certainly one of our happiest of the last decade, in part due to the great diversity of experiences. Among a million other things above and below the waves, our 10 night cruise on the “Solomons PNG Master” liveaboard ( Solomon Islands Dive Expeditions ) has us exploring healthy coral reefs without any other boats and divers in sight, plunging down dramatic walls decorated with giant elephant ear sponges and thickets of sea fans, and throwing ourselves into fish tornadoes to frame “wallpaper shots” of hundreds of barracuda. Tagio tumas (‘thanks very much’ in the local pidgin English vernacular) to the crew and the critters!
