Vanua Kino

Vanua Kino is a secluded, family-run eco lodge, just five minutes by boat from Seghe Airstrip at the heart of the Marovo Lagoon in Western Province, Solomon Islands. We offer guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Marovo Lagoon, a unique marine environment with a wealth of wildlife and birds, as well as the chance to engage with the family to learn about local customs, culture and life in Marovo.

The accommodation has two bungalows at the water’s edge, each sleeping two people with extra beds available on request. Delicious meals can be arranged for guests in the purpose-built dining room overlooking the lagoon, using local food.

The friendly team at Vanua Kino are always ready to offer tours to attractions around the lagoon including beaches and small Islands for fishing, snorkeling, bird watching, bush walking, river swimming and sea kayaking. At Vanua Kino, guests can also enjoy wakeboarding, table tennis darts, panpipers or just relaxing in a hammock.

To get there from Honiara, there are two options; you can travel via plane on a one-hour flight from Honiara or hop on a ferry from Honiara.
