Located on the northeast coast of Guadalcanal, just 12.5 km east of Honiara, the Sikaiana Cultural Village offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditions of the Sikaiana people, a Polynesian community originally from the Malaita Outer Islands. Established in 2016, the center is dedicated to preserving and protecting cultural heritage while sharing the traditional way of life with visitors and locals alike.
Some of the common activities that can be showcased for visitors by the community of Sikaiana cultural village includes displays of traditional sing and dance, traditional weaving, living and traditional cooking. Visitors can also participate in the activities if they wish to.
Full cultural shows can be organized upon request, offering a deeper immersion into the rich traditions of the Sikaiana people.
