Culture Activities Accommodation

The waters of the Solomon islands are renowned for big game, reef, wreck, beach and estuary fishing. The action is unparalleled and the waters are virtually unspoiled by commercial fishing.

You can troll along the sheer drop-offs for Spanish mackerel, Wahoo and dog-tooth tuna or cast into the surf for giant trevally, red bass and coral trout.

The serious game fishermen can pursue Pacific sailfish, blue, black and striped marlin, yellow fin tuna.  In the quiet jungle rivers you can catch mangrove jack, estuary cods, brassy trevally and spot tail bass.

Zipolo Habu Resort - Lola Island

The waters around Zipolo Habu in the Western Province support an amazing variety of fish life.

Many outstanding fish are caught right off the rod holders mounted in front of the bar at the resort. The only way to fish!

The resort provides top quality gear and guides and is keen to promote saltwater fly fishing excursions for Bonefish and Trevally which feed on the lagoon flats. This provides excellent shadow sight fishing for both fly and light tackle fisherman.

If you prefer a serious heavy weight challenge our guides can hook you up with some Sailfish or Marlin. Perhaps a one on one tug'O'war with a Giant Trevally caught on a huge lure is more your style.

What ever your fishing dream contains it is all on offer right here all year round.
